Concorde-X

The First News on the new FSLabs Concorde X!

SSTSIM spent quite a bit of time investigating whether the FS2004 version of the Concorde product could be converted over into Flight Simulator X. As the framework and infrastructure changed extensively, it was decided that a conversion process would be more work than to actually redesign the product from the start, keeping only those code parts that made sense and could carry over easily.

As a result, and as Andrew Wilson’s transition into FSLabs was progressing, we have been working on a completely new Concorde product designed specifically for FSX, which is in currently in the design & development stage. Due to the requirement for us to now create our own simulator functions, external from FSX, we anticipate development to continue into 2008 before completion.

The team will also be using this time to develop other aspects of the package to exploit new hardware and software features for the Concorde.
