| CPFlight module drivers updated! - Friday, November 21, 2008
After popular demand and the requisite testing period, we have released an updated version of our CPFlight driver interface modules for FS2004 and FSX. The update includes the following new and improved items:
- COM port selection now persistent regardless of the Autoconnect feature being selected
- Bank limit angle knob now functional for the 747-400 aircraft (with some limitations)
- Hardware backlighting can now be overriden using either the hardware switch feature optionally provided by CPFlight or with a new optional checkbox in the interface dialog window inside the simulator.
- TO/GA button now sends the correct command to PMDG 737 and 747 aircraft.
- (NEW!) CPFlight Rudder Trim module now supported in the 737NG series (for FS2004 only).
We are happy to provide this (no cost) update to our customers and expect that the new functionality will allow improved immersiveness for our hard-core simmers. |
| Interested in new Interfaces? Let us know! - Saturday, November 15, 2008
Site visits went down with more than 14 % lately and no, we're not linked to the world's stock exchanges ! The problem is of course that we're working heads down every day, 7 days a week, with not much to share until we go Beta with some things.
Sorry! But don't let that stop you from visiting our FORUMS, where there is daily interaction and new information!
For instance a query from one of our visitors regarding products from VRinsight:
"..... I'm considering to buy the MCP combo panel from VRinsight (http://www.vrinsight.com/). This is a more generic MCP than those we see from CPflight, opencockpits and other well-known hardware builders. The advantage of this unit is the price (!) and the fact you can easily use it for a lot of different addons.....".
The problem for us is that it costs a lot of time (= money!) to make any given interface, so there HAS to be a market for it that at least covers the cost. Lefteris proposes to use the following thread to see if there are more possible buyers of an VRinsight interface? |
| Andy Flies World Flight Charity Event - Monday, November 03, 2008 Two of our team members are involved in this year's World Flight charity event.
Over the course of the next week, Andy will be flying with the Simfest team as part of World Flight 2008 where seven teams are flying their own fixed based aircraft simulators around the world non-stop for seven days to raise money for charity.
With Andy's knowledge geared towards flying Concorde, he's sure he can help the team make up any time lost during the event!
Please head over and show your support for the Simfest team (www.simfest.co.uk), where you can watch live webcams and track their progress.
And Francois' add-on company FSAddon Publishing has donated a copy of each of their products for the associated auction ! |

| CPFlight MCP and MCPPro Drivers Released - Saturday, October 04, 2008 We are very excited to announce the release of two new driver interfaces for our customers.
The CPFlight MCP and MCPPro (with optional EFIS, radio stack, transponder and MIP panel modules) have won accolades with several hundred (if not thousand) flight sim enthusiasts and cockpit builders alike. Up to now, compatibility with PMDG aircraft addon products has been lackluster, and only via the use of mouse emulation and keyboard commands.
As such, we are happy to provide owners of CPFlight hardware a specialized driver to interface their units with the FS2004 PMDG line of products (737NG as well as 747-400 family), but also another driver to work with the 747-400X Queen of the Skies for Flight Simulator X.
Purchaser must already own and have installed CPFlight MCP or MCPPro modules, with optional components, in order to use these drivers.
For more information, click on the Interfaces menu. For the FS2004 version, go directly to the driver page here and for the FSX product, click here. |
| GoFlight MCPProX Driver Released - Thursday, September 11, 2008 Another one of our specialized driver interfaces has been released.
The GoFlight MCPPro (and optional EFIS) module has been a favorite among users for a long time, due to its quality, durability and affordable price.
As such, we are happy to provide owners of GoFlight MCPPro hardware a specialized driver to interface their MCP with the PMDG 747-400X Queen of the Skies for Flight Simulator X. Purchaser must already own and have installed a GoFlight MCPPro module, with optional EFIS hardware, in order to use this driver. Requires that the user also have installed the PMDG 747-400X for FSX line of products, along with the latest Service Pack.
For more information, click on the Interfaces menu, or go directly to the driver page here. |
| FlyEngravity CDU Driver Released - Friday, August 29, 2008 Today we officially announced our latest specialized driver application, this time to provide an interface between Engravity hardware and Flight Simulator software.

Purchaser must already own and have installed an Engravity 747-400 or 737 CDU in order to use this driver. | Andrew Wilson joins FSLabs! - Sunday, June 15, 2008
Andrew Wilson has joined Flight Sim Labs!
Andrew founded SSTSIM, Ltd in 2005, having previously worked on a number of Concorde projects for Microsoft Flight Simulator including Project Mach 2 and later the Altitude Concorde, published in 2004 by Koch Media.
Andrew brings his SSTSIM expertise, along with his developer partners Chris Denton and Blue Silver, GmbH to build a brand new Concorde for FSX, under the wings of Flight Sim Labs. The quality of his work and the general interest amongst our own 'target audience' makes this a perfect fit.
We'll soon be merging the Concorde-X related web pages from the old SSTSIM web site with the pages in our web site here. Until the transition is completed, you can check out the quality Andrew has built into his previous Concorde versions at the SSTSIM Web Site.
